Hate campaign waged against son for raising voice over communal violence.
Prasantha Das, a resident in Khagrachari district, has been vocal over ongoing repression on minority communities including hindus under reign of Dr. Yunus and living under fear of attack from radical groups for days. Taking advantage of Dr Yunus and Islamist outfits persistent denial of communal violence, extremist outfits ran a hate campaign against the hindu rights advocate on social media for long. And tragedy befell on the rights activist on December 5, as his mother Chumki Rani Das has been murdered inside their residence. Locals suspect link between the hate campaign against the rights activist and the murder of his mother though no investigation has been carried out into the killing.
