Tragic Assault in Bangladesh: Hindu Union Parishad Representative Brutally Raped and Poisoned to Death.
In a harrowing incident from Narail district, Bangladesh, Basana Mallik, a 46-year-old Hindu woman and an elected Union Parishad Member, was brutally gang-raped by a group identified as Islamists.
Following the assault, the perpetrators forced poison into her mouth, leading to her death in the hospital at 25th December. Before she succumbed to her injuries, Basana Mallik managed to reveal the names of some of her attackers, including Rajibur and Osman.
